ABOUT LINO LAKES ELEMENTARY STEM SCHOOL
Lino Lakes Elementary STEM School is a K-6 school in the Forest Lake Area School District, and we are excited to be named one of the newest STEM schools in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.
Our teachers and staff are passionate about providing a STEM-focused, hands-on curriculum that challenges and engages our students in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math while supporting literacy skills across all subject areas and incoporating the arts through the engineering-design process.
Lino Lakes Elementary STEM School: Designing Our Future!
Lino Lakes Elementary STEM School offers a partial Spanish Immersion program beginning in Kindergarten. Through our commitment to technology literacy, we also offer a variety of technology-based student opportunities including an in-house news program, video production teams, and a photography club. Lino's suburban location lends itself well to offerings in outdoor education. The Lino Nature Trail allows students and visitors alike to explore the wetland area located behind Lino and to catch a glimpse of the wildlife that lives in and around the nearby pond.
Lino also boasts a beautiful outdoor classroom. Classes use the outdoor classroom for nature study and outdoor lunches, or as an enjoyable spot for reading a good book.
Our emphasis on "community" at Lino Lakes Elementary reaches beyond the walls of the classroom as we strive to promote a sense of responsibility and a feeling of belonging in each of our students.
Together We're Building a Community of Care and Hope!
Throughout the year students at Lino take part in several community service projects including collecting items for the local food shelf and donating money and supplies to our adopted rainforest school in Peru.
